Why do companies still say NO to Cloud Migration?

Despite all the benefits that cloud computing can bring to a business, some companies are still reluctant to cloud migration. In fact, I read an article published by Forbes saying that only 27% of companies predicted that by 2022, 95% of all workloads will run in the cloud. Let’s explore the infographic below and discover why businesses are still having second thoughts about migrating to the cloud.

An interesting article and thanks for sharing, Rick. In my opinion, future-proofing your business has to remain the primary focus. Your customers are your lifeblood and to deliver them the best experience you must be agile. So, no matter your scepticism or concerns about the short-term challenges, migrating to the cloud must remain a question of not ‘if’ but ‘when’.
In our experience, every business is has its own set of unique challenges depending on the layers of legacy infrastructure built up over time. Identifying what you have, what you need and what interdependencies exist between them depends on a well-executed discovery and assessment of your current IT assets. Once this is clear, then the execution of the migration to cloud comes down to experience. Partnering with a team of experts who know how to make the move safely without disrupting day-to-day operations, will help you avoid many of the common mistakes your article points out. Breadth and depth of experience counts for everything when it comes to embarking on the inevitable.
